Created as the Capstone project of 7 Champlain students. The game was worked on for 3 months.
I worked as the Product Owner and UI/UX Designer on this 7 person team. I spent time organizing each feature's priority and focused on defining and implementing the UI.

The UI was designed to make it feel like the game was taking place within a comic book.

Games such as Persona 5 and Sunset Overdrive were looked at as inspiration.

Since the game's environment features primarily greens and blues, the UI color palette focused on warmer colors.

The game has a selection wheel for the different seeds that the player can use.

Based on testing feedback we changed the selection wheel from being held open, to being opened on button press and closed after a selection is made.
The primary mechanic of the game is shooting seeds, and I wanted to make sure that it would be clear where the player was aiming.

To achieve this we created a prediction line that shows the maximum distance the player can shoot (blue line).
Another line shows where the seed will go based on the current power (orange line).

During the game the player will be given tutorials.

The tutorials pause the game and in some instances the camera will pan towards the object of focus.

The player could earn feats for different actions in the game. A pop-up would show when a player earned a feat, and feats could be checked through the pause menu at any time.

The feats were designed as stickers that could then be "pasted" onto the level select screen, to fit the comic theme.
